I didn’t receive the activation code.
Check your spam or junk folder, then choose Please send Activation code again. If it still doesn’t arrive, contact ClariLens support. Activate your account
What does the free trial include?
Up to 10 observation reports within one month, with every framework. Team features aren’t included. What the trial includes
My school uses ClariLens. How do I get access?
Ask one of your school’s ClariLens administrators to invite you. If you already have a trial account, they can invite that account. Joining a team
Observations
I closed the window by mistake. Are my notes lost?
Probably not. The observation form keeps what you enter in your browser and restores it when you open the form again in the same browser. Save your observation
Can I change an observation after generating the report?
Yes, at any time. The report doesn’t update by itself, so generate it again if your changes matter. Editing an observation later
Why can’t I change a colleague’s observation?
Only the person who created an observation can change it. Everyone else on the team can view it.
How do I include pre- or post-observation conference notes?
Paste them into the classroom notes: pre-observation notes at the beginning, post-observation notes at the end. Take notes
Reports
Which AI model should I use?
Core, most of the time. Use Essentials for quick informal reports and Extended when you want the most thorough analysis. Choose the AI model
How do I keep the report from inventing things?
Write specific notes, and use options such as Low-inference scripting, No praise inflation and Unique evidence per component. Always review the report and correct it with Edit. Report options
How do I keep student names out of the report?
Add a custom instruction such as “Important: don’t include any student names. Use ‘student’ instead.” Custom instructions
What does N/E mean?
Not evidenced: your notes had no evidence for that rubric, so it wasn’t rated and doesn’t count toward the score. Reading the ratings table
How do I share a report?
Export it as a PDF or Word document, or copy it and paste it into an email or document. Review, edit and export
Can I use a different framework?
On a team, the framework is set for the whole school. Contact ClariLens to change it or to add a framework. Observation frameworks
Team
How do I import our teacher list?
Use Import on the Team page with an Excel file whose first row has the recognized column names, ideally ClariLens’s template. Or send the list to ClariLens and we’ll import it. Import teachers
What happens when I remove a user from the team?
They keep their ClariLens account as an individual user but lose access to your school’s data and team features. Remove a user
Why is there an “Individual” user in our list?
Someone on a free trial picked your school in their profile. They can’t see your school’s data. You can invite them to the team if you wish. The user list
